We're also affiliated with the Professional Association for SQL Server. This is a world-wide SQL Server Users Group. PASS holds a conference each year.
John Baldwin has been involved with Steel City SQL since 2008 in the formal role of President/Chair of the Board with the operational title of Director of Operations. John is responisible for the overall coordination of the group's activies including communicating with the other board members to see that monthly meetings and other events such as SQL Saturdays go on as planned as well as managing the group's finances and maintaining the group website.
Tracy Hamlin is the newest member of the Steel City SQL Board elected in January 2011 to the formal title of Vice President/Vice Chair of the Board with her operational title as Director of Marketing and Communications. Tracy is primarily responsible for the group's communications and marketing including email reminders about monthly meetngs and other group events as well as managing the group's social media effort via Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to get the word out to the community about what is going on with Steel City SQL.
Robert Cain has been on the Steel City SQL since 2008 in various capacities with his current formal title being Secretary of the Board and carrying the operational title of Director of Program Development. Robert's primary focus for the group is to organize the speakers for monthly meetings and SQL Saturday Events.
Morgan Smith has been on the Steel City SQL since 2008 in various capacities with his current formal title as Treasurer of the Board with the operational title of Director of Finance and Fundraising. Morgan's primary focus is to work with vendors and sponsors to raise the money and swag needed to put on major events like SQL Saturday as well as finding money or sponsorship for montly meetings to help keep Steel City SQL free for all.
